Rahul Gandhi Commences ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ Today from Lucknow

Earlier, the scheduled time of Rahul Gandhi to reach Raebareli during the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra was 9:00 am, but now the yatra will start at 1:00 pm from Fursatganj of Amethi to Rae Bareli district. Before the journey, Rahul Gandhi will appear in Sultanpur MP/MLA court.

Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh gave this information by X posting. He told that summons have been sent to Rahul Gandhi to appear in Sultanpur District Court of Uttar Pradesh on the morning of 20 February. The case pertains to a defamation suit filed by a BJP leader on August 4, 2018. Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra will stop today morning and will resume at 1:00 pm from Fursatganj, Amethi for the program scheduled on February 20.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has got bail from Sultanpur MP/MLA court in the defamation case. After getting bail, Rahul Gandhi's lawyer Santosh Pandey said that he has surrendered in the court today. He surrendered and the court took him into custody for 30-45 minutes. After this his bail petition was presented, which was accepted by the court. No other date has been given yet. His lawyer claimed that he was innocent and had not made any defamatory statement.

Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra will proceed on the Lucknow-Prayagraj highway in the afternoon. The route of the yatra includes stops at Nigoha Toll, Rae Bareli Road, including places like Madakheda Temple, Mohan Lal Ganj, Kalli Bazaar, Kalindi Park More, Teli Bagh (Shani Mandir) and KKC Charbagh. The journey is scheduled to begin at around 2:30 pm.

Rahul Gandhi will reach Ghantaghar from Charbagh (Natha Hotel turn) via Naka Chowk, Dugawan, Rakabganj Chowk, Rajabazar, Medical College Chowk and Charak Chowk, where a public meeting will be organised.
