Leave of all policemen canceled in UP in view of by-elections

Lucknow: Given the by-elections to be held in Uttar Pradesh, the leaves of all policemen have been canceled. This order has been issued by UP's ADG Law & Order Prashant Kumar. By-elections are to be held on the vacant Mainpuri, Rampur, and Khatauli seats. Voting on these seats will be held on December 5th and the counting of votes will take place on December 8th. It is also believed that, after this, the civic body elections will be announced in UP. Due to this these holidays have been canceled.

लखनऊ: (by-elections) उत्तर प्रदेश में होने वाले उपचुनावों के मद्देनज़र सभी पुलिसकर्मियों की छुट्टियां रद्द कर दी गयीं हैं। यह आदेश यूपी के एडीजी लॉ एंड आर्डर (Law & Order) प्रशांत कुमार द्वारा जारी किया गया है। रिक्त हुई मैनपुरी, रामपुर और खतौली सीट पर उपचुनाव होना है। इन सीटों पर पांच दिसंबर को वोटिंग और आठ दिसंबर को वोटों की गिनती होगी। माना यह भी जा रहा है कि, इसके बाद यूपी में निकाय चुनाव का एलान होगा। जिसके चलते यह छुट्टियां रद्द की गयी हैं।

बता दें कि, यूपी पुलिस के सभी कर्मियों की छुट्टियां रद्द करने का फैसला लिया गया है। छुट्टियों के संबंध में एडीजी लॉ एंड आर्डर प्रशांत कुमार ने जानकारी दी है। एडीजी प्रशांत कुमार ने कहा, "आगामी लोकसभा, विधानसभा उपचुनाव (by-elections) और नगरीय निकाय चुनाव के दृष्टिगत सभी प्रकार के पुलिस कर्मियों के अवकाश तत्काल प्रभाव से निर्वाचन प्रक्रिया पूर्ण होने तक रोके जाते हैं।" हालांकि, अचानक हुए इस फ़ैसले से पुलिस कर्मियों में काफ़ी रोष है। उनका कहना है कि, इस समय शादियों का सीज़न है। किसी के घर में या फिर परिवार में किसी की शादी है। जिसके चलते उन्होंने काफ़ी समय से कोई छुट्टी नहीं ली ताकि, उन कार्यक्रमों में शामिल हो सकें।

हालांकि आदेश में साफ़ तौर पर कहा गया है कि, विशेष परिस्तिथियों में छुट्टी दी जा सकती है। इसके बावजूद पुलिस कर्मियों से बात करने पर उनकी पीड़ा निकल कर सामने आयी। उनका कहना है कि, अधिकारी छुट्टी मांगने पर यह कहकर टाल देते हैं कि, ऊपर से आदेश हैं हम कुछ नहीं कर सकते। इस बात से जहाँ एक तरफ़ पुलिस कर्मियों में रोष हैं वहीं मायूसी भी है। अधिकारियों को इस बात पर ध्यान देना चाहिए क्योंकि उनके भी परिवार हैं और ज़िम्मेदारियाँ भी।
