Ambulance in PM’s convoy is a serious security lapse

(Ambulance in PM's convoy) There is a word in English called Gimmick which literally also means Nautanki. It is hypocrisy and such a dramatic act whose reality is known to all. Similar gimmicks have now become a new tool of political propaganda. When the government is not able to give anything meaningful to the people and when the government lacks policy, intention and status to give something to the people, then similar gimmicks are done again. Through the illusion of propaganda and organized Goebelism, a generous and noble image of the ruler is created but he is nothing but a paper bazooka (a short-range tubular rocket launcher used against tanks).

अंग्रेजी में एक शब्द है Gimmick जिसका शाब्दिक अर्थ भी नौटंकी ही होता है। यह एक पाखंड होता है और ऐसा नाटकीय कृत्य जिसकी वास्तविकता सभी जानते हैं। ऐसी ही गिमिक अब राजनीति के प्रचारतंत्र का एक नया उपकरण बन गया है। जब जनता को सरकार कुछ सार्थक दे नहीं पाती और जब सरकार के पास जनता को कुछ देने की, नीति नीयत और हैसियत का अभाव होने लगता है तो, ऐसी ही नौटंकियां फिर की जाने लगती हैं। प्रचार तंत्र और संगठित गोएबेलिज्म के मायाजाल से, शासक की एक उदार और महान छवि गढ़ी जाती है पर वह सिवाय एक कागज के बज़ूके (टैंकों के ख़िलाफ़ इस्तेमाल किया जाने वाला एक छोटी दूरी का ट्यूबलर रॉकेट लांचर) के, कुछ नहीं होता है।

How the PM's convoy is formed, which vehicles will stay in that convoy, and who will sit in which car. From which way the convoy will leave, and where will it stop, what action will be taken immediately if there is any sudden obstruction in the way. Who will sit in the PM's car, etc etc. There is a whole lot of wide frills and drills. It is not decided by the PM, rather, it is decided by the Special Protection Group (SPG), state police, district administration, IB and other intelligence agencies engaged in PM security.

That was a security lapse and a serious security lapse, as the long road route chosen for VVIPs was a wrong decision from the very beginning. Then it was the PM who had conveyed this message to the then CM, telling him, I have come back alive.

It is difficult for any other vehicle to come parallel to the tail car because, behind the tail are the vehicles of the leaders who are accompanying the PM to the scheduled program. Every vehicle of the PM convoy is subjected to a technical inspection and a certificate is issued for it, which is given to the SPG in charge of that journey. The purpose and function of a tail car is that it does not let any vehicle in front of it. Then how did they let the ambulance go and no action was taken on it?

If the ambulance really does come to the PM's car and then, the PM himself notices, and lets him side by side, then this is a serious security lapse. It should be investigated and not marhaba marhaba.
