DM Jalaun’s strict action on the death of cattle in Kanha Gaushala

Jalaun: (DM Jalaun's strict action) District Magistrate of Jalaun district of Uttar Pradesh, Chandni Singh took action against Harishankar Niranjan, Food / Sanitation Inspector, Nagar Palika Parishad Konch for not taking interest in government work. In spite of various government instructions by Harishankar Niranjan, in-charge of Kanha Gaushala operated in Nagar Palika Parishad Konch, sufficient interest was not being taken in the arrangement of Gaushala. Also, proper inspection/supervision of Gaushala was not being done.

He has also mentioned in his letter that a heifer in an unwell condition was brought to Kanha Gaushala by a local person at 1.00 pm. For whose treatment the veterinary doctor/livestock extension officer was informed through phone. But he did not appear and finally he died on 20.9.2022 in the afternoon. In this way, the above incident has happened due to not taking enough interest in the works of the Gaushala by the concerned Veterinarian/Livestock Extension Officer and in-charge of the Gaushala.

उन्होने अपने पत्र में यह भी उल्लेख किया है कि, एक स्थानीय व्यक्ति द्वारा दोपहर 1.00 बजे अस्वस्थ अवस्था में एक बछिया को कान्हा गौशाला में लाया गया। जिसके इलाज के लिये पशु चिकित्सक/पशुधन प्रसार अधिकारी को दूरभाष के माध्यम से सूचित किया गया था। किन्तु वह उपस्थित नहीं हुये और अंततः दिनांक 20.9.2022 को अपरान्ह में उसकी मृत्यू हो गयी। इस प्रकार गौशाला में सम्बद्ध पशु चिकित्सक / पशुधन प्रसार अधिकारी व गौशाला प्रभारी द्वारा गौशाला के कार्यों में पर्याप्त रूचि नहीं लेने के कारण उपरोक्त घटना घटित हुयी है।

The District Magistrate wrote a letter to the Urban Directorate, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, while taking action, the Executive Officer, Nagar Palika Parishad Koch took cognizance. Taking cognizance by the Executive Officer, Nagar Palika Parishad, action has been taken against the concerned as per rules. So that in future such incidents do not recur.
