Chief Secretary launches 'Bridging Gaps, Acting Now' portal developed for researchers to submit research abstracts
Lucknow: Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra launched the 'Bridging Gaps Acting Now' portal developed for researchers to submit research abstracts for climate change research and proposed workshops to bridge policy gaps to enhance local climate action.
मुख्य सचिव ने शोधकर्ताओं को शोध के सार को जमा करने हेतु विकसित 'Bridging Gaps, Acting Now' पोर्टल को किया लॉन्च
Lucknow: मुख्य सचिव दुर्गा शंकर मिश्र ने स्थानीय जलवायु कार्यवाही में वृद्धि के लिए जलवायु परिवर्तन अनुसंधान और नीतिगत अंतराल को कम करने हेतु प्रस्तावित कार्यशाला के लिये शोधकर्ताओं को शोध के सार को जमा करने हेतु विकसित 'Bridging Gaps Acting Now' पोर्टल काे लॉन्च किया।

In his address, the Chief Secretary said that science and technical knowledge play an important role in defining environmental policies for climate action. There is some gap between ongoing research, latest findings and policy priorities. There is a need to bridge this gap in the larger public interest. He expressed hope that the proposed workshop would provide a platform to young researchers to present their local climate action-oriented research findings to policy makers.
मुख्य सचिव दुर्गा शंकर मिश्रा ने सम्बोधित किया
अपने संबोधन में मुख्य सचिव ने कहा कि, जलवायु कार्यवाही के लिए पर्यावरणीय नीतियों को परिभाषित करने में विज्ञान और तक़नीक़ी ज्ञान महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाते हैं। अविरत शोध, नवीनतम निष्कर्षाे और नीतिगत प्राथमिकताओं के बीच कुछ अंतराल है। व्यापक जनहित में इस अंतराल को कम करने की ज़रूरत है। उन्होंने आशा व्यक्त करते हुये कहा कि, प्रस्तावित कार्यशाला युवा शोधकर्ताओं को उनके स्थानीय जलवायु क्रिया-उन्मुख शोध निष्कर्षाे को नीति निर्माताओं के समक्ष प्रदर्शित करने का मंच प्रदान करेगी।
'Bridging Gaps Acting Now' portal has been developed for researchers to submit research abstracts
On this occasion, a brief presentation of the proposed workshop by Additional Chief Secretary Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department Manoj Singh was also given. He informed that a workshop is proposed to be organized on 04-05 November, 2022 in Lucknow to reduce climate change research and policy gaps to increase local climate action. This workshop is proposed to be organized in association with Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department Uttar Pradesh, German Development Cooperation (GIZ), IIT Kanpur, Environment and Sustainable Development Institute, Banaras Hindu University.

इस अवसर पर अपर मुख्य सचिव पर्यावरण, वन एवं जलवायु परिवर्तन विभाग मनोज सिंह द्वारा प्रस्तावित कार्यशाला का संक्षिप्त प्रस्तुतिकरण भी दिया गया। उन्होंने बताया कि, पर्यावरण, वन एवं जलवायु परिवर्तन विभाग, उत्तर प्रदेश, जर्मन विकास सहयोग (जी0आई0जेड0), आई0आई0टी0 कानपुर, पर्यावरण एवं धारणीय विकास संस्थान बनारस हिंदू विश्वविद्यालय के साथ मिलकर स्थानीय जलवायु कार्यवाही में वृद्धि के लिए जलवायु परिवर्तन अनुसंधान और नीतिगत अंतराल को कम करने हेतु कार्यशाला का आयोजन 04-05 नवम्बर, 2022 को लखनऊ में प्रस्तावित है जिसमें चयनित शोधकर्ताओं द्वारा जलवायु परिवर्तन के क्षेत्र में अपनी शोध का प्रस्तुतिकरण करेंगे। इस हेतु शोधकर्ताओं को शोध के सार जमा करने हेतु 'Bridging Gaps Acting Now' पोर्टल विकसित किया गया है।
Through the portal, researchers will be able to present their research in the field of climate change
In which selected researchers will present their research in the field of climate change. For this, the 'Bridging Gaps Acting Now' portal has been developed for the researchers to submit the research abstracts. Through the portal, researchers will submit their research papers on thematic areas such as agriculture, forestry, disaster management, water, rural development and gender for the selection of impacts of climate change. Researchers can apply on this web site https://upccce.org/ccw/ by 12 October 2022.
On this occasion, representatives of GIZ, Banaras Hindu University, GEAG Tattva Foundation, senior officials of Directorate of Environment, Uttar Pradesh and Prof. Dr. Mukesh Sharma of IIT Kanpur were present on the occasion.
पोर्टल के माध्यम से शोधकर्ताओं द्वारा जलवायु परिवर्तन के क्षेत्र में अपनी शोध का प्रस्तुतिकरण कर सकेंगे
जिसमें चयनित शोधकर्ताओं द्वारा जलवायु परिवर्तन के क्षेत्र में अपनी शोध का प्रस्तुतिकरण करेंगे। इस हेतु शोधकर्ताओं को शोध के सार जमा करने हेतु 'Bridging Gaps Acting Now' पोर्टल विकसित किया गया है। उक्त पोर्टल के माध्यम से शोधकर्ता जलवायु परिवर्तन के प्रभावों को विषयगत क्षेत्रों जैसे कृषि, वानिकी, आपदा प्रबंधन, जल, ग्रामीण विकास और लिंग पर अपने शोध पत्र को चयन हेतु जमा करेंगे। शोधकर्ता इस वेब साइट https://upccce.org/ccw/ पर 12 अक्टूबर 2022 तक आवेदन कर सकते है।
