Strict action will be taken against those responsible – Navneet Sehgal

Lucknow: (Strict action) Navneet Sehgal, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Sports, Uttar Pradesh, inspected Guru Gobind Singh Sports College today. Expressing strong displeasure over the slow progress in the construction of the Velodrome (cycle track) under construction in the college premises, he said that strict action would be taken against those responsible. He directed to provide the complete schedule of cycle track within a week.

Lucknow: Department of Sports, Uttar Pradesh, के अपर मुख्य सचिव, नवनीत सहगल ने आज गुरू गोविन्द सिंह स्पोर्ट्स कालेज का निरीक्षण किया। उन्होंने कालेज परिसर में निर्माणाधीन वेलोड्रोम (साईकिल ट्रैक) के निर्माण में धीमी प्रगति पर कड़ी नाराजगी जाहिर करते हुए कहा कि ज़िम्मेदार लोगों के विरूद्ध कड़ी कार्रवाई (Strict action) की जायेगी। उन्होंने एक सप्ताह के अंदर साइकिल ट्रैक का पूरा सिड्यूल उपलब्ध कराने के निर्देश दिए।

During the inspection, the Additional Chief Secretary found grass growing on the playground in the Sports College. Expressing displeasure on this, he said that all the facilities in the sports complex should be upgraded. He duly inspected the entire campus from the hockey ground. Went to the children's hostel. After this, he met the children and inquired about the facilities being provided in the hostel. Tasted the food being given to the children in the hostel. Along with this, instructions were given to increase the quality of food further. He said that there should be no shortage in the quality of food. He also inspected the children's living space and bathroom and gave instructions to increase the facilities.

निरीक्षण के दौरान अपर मुख्य सचिव को स्पोर्ट्स कालेज में खेल के मैदान पर घास बढ़ी मिली। इस पर उन्होंने नाराजगी प्रकट करते हुए कहा कि खेल परिसर में सभी सुविधाओं को अपग्रेड किया जाय। उन्होंने हॉकी मैदान से लेकर पूरे परिसर का विधिवत निरीक्षण किया। बच्चों के छात्रावास गये। इसके बाद उन्होंने बच्चों से मिलकर हॉस्टल में मिल रही सुविधाओं के बारे में जानकारी ली। हास्टल में बच्चों को दिये जा रहे खाने को चखा। साथ ही खाने की गुणवत्ता को और अधिक बढ़ाने के निर्देश दिए। उन्होंने कहा कि, खाने की गुणवत्ता में कोई कमी नहीं होनी चाहिए। उन्होंने बच्चों के रहने का स्थान तथा बाथरूम का भी निरीक्षण किया और सुविधाएं बढ़ाने के निर्देश दिए।

The ACS honored the winners of athletics, football, badminton, including junior All India Nehru Cup winners by giving them track suits. He said that all of you have got a chance to study along with the game. Take full advantage of this facility. He instructed that the children should be given a diet according to the games. Because different sports require stamina accordingly. He directed to make available the proposal of appointment of a dietician in the college to the government. It was also said that an indoor hall should be constructed for volleyball and gym in the college. Another astroturf for hockey and a new synthetic track for athletics should be made for the practice of players. During the inspection, officials of the Nirman Corporation, the executive body of the construction of the Velodrome, including the principal of the college, Mudrika Pathak, were present.
