U.P. to plant 5 cr saplings on I-Day


Uttar Pradesh authorities will plant 5 crore saplings on Independence Day, taking its annual plantation depend forward from July 22 when 30,21,51,570 saplings have been planted on a single day.

A complete of 136.98 crore saplings have been planted within the state between 2017-18 and 2022-23. Whereas there was a complete improve of 417 sq. kilometres (0.18 %) in forest cowl, a rise of 377 sq. kilometres (0.16 %) has been recorded in tree cowl to this point.
