Defense Minister performed weapon worship on the festival of Dussehra

Uttarakhand: The festival of Vijayadashami (Dussehra) is being celebrated in India today. On the occasion of this festival, the Defense Minister of the country Rajnath Singh reached Chamoli in Uttarakhand. Here he performed weapon worship with the soldiers of the army on this festival symbolizing the 'victory of good over evil'. With the chanting of the weapon offered a flower garland by vaccinating the weapon. The entire station reverberated with patriotic songs when the Defense Minister was present at Auli Military Station. The soldiers also sang patriotic songs in front of the Defense Minister.

Earlier, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday approved the renaming of Faizabad Cantonment to Ayodhya Cantonment. According to official sources, the name of this cantonment has been changed ahead of Dussehra celebrations.

बता दें कि, देश के रक्षामंत्री राजनाथ सिंह विजयदशमी के मौक़े पर उत्तराखंड की दो दिवसीय यात्रा पर हैं। रक्षा मंत्री औली में सेना के जवानों के साथ दशहरा के बाद बद्रीनाथ धाम में पूजा-अर्चना करेंगे। इससे पहले रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने मंगलवार को फैज़ाबाद छावनी का नाम बदलकर अयोध्या छावनी करने को मंजूरी दे दी है। आधिकारिक सूत्रों के अनुसार दशहरा समारोह से पहले इस छावनी का नाम बदला गया है।
