Comprehensive Overview of Dwarka Expressway

Examining the geographical distribution, the Dwarka Expressway spans 10 km in Delhi, followed by 19 km in Gurugram. Originating from Shiv Murti near Mahipalpur on the Delhi-Gurgaon expressway, it traverses through key locations, connecting Dwarka Sector 21, the Gurugram border, Basai, and concludes near Kherki Daula on the national highway.

Pioneering Infrastructure: A 14-Lane Grade-Separated Corridor

IGI Airport Connectivity: India's First 8-Lane Tunnel

Notably, the expressway boasts an 8-lane elevated structure alongside India's first 4 km long 8-lane tunnel near IGI airport. Described as a 'shallow tunnel' for its less intrusive construction method, it aims to enhance transportation efficiency and reduce vehicular pollution in the Delhi NCR region.

Alleviating Traffic Congestion and Enhancing Connectivity

The Dwarka Expressway's strategic design includes an interchange with two underpasses beneath NH 48, catering to over 3 lakh vehicles daily. This innovative approach is expected to alleviate traffic congestion and contribute to a reduction in vehicular pollution in the Delhi NCR area.

Future Impact: Direct Connectivity to Key Locations

With direct connectivity to the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi and the Gurugram Bypass, the Dwarka Expressway is poised to revolutionize transportation efficiency in the region.
