LUCKNOW: Police in Barabanki have lodged an FIR towards a resident who shot lifeless his neighbour’s pet canine after it allegedly entered his home and ate a pot of his favorite mutton dish that he had simply completed cooking. The accused, a lawyer by career, has been booked underneath IPC’s sections 307 (try and homicide), 429 (mischief by killing or maiming cattle), 506 (prison intimidation) and 504 (intentional insult). The incident occurred on Monday whereas the FIR was registered on Tuesday.
On Monday, Arvind Verma, who’s in his mid-40s and lives within the metropolis’s Vijay Nagar locality, had simply completed cooking a pot of his favorite mutton dish after which he went for a shower. The accused mentioned his neighbour’s pet canine sneaked into his home by the primary gate left ajar and ate all of it. An enraged Verna took his licensed gun and shot the canine lifeless.
The complainant, Kalpana Chaturvedi, a 30-year-old authorities schoolteacher, advised police that Arvind used to object to her strolling the canine on daily basis and had even earlier threatened to kill it. She mentioned that even on the day of the incident, she had gone out with the canine, when Arvind fired from his licensed gun with the intention of killing. The bullet hit the canine, killing the pet on the spot. “Even I might have been hit by the bullet,” mentioned Kalpana.
“My pet was an Indian canine and 7 years previous. I referred to as it Maddy,” mentioned the complainant.
