Lathi-charge on legal professionals: RLD chief Jayant Chaudhary calls for suspension of Hapur DM and SP | Lucknow Information

LUCKNOW: RLD president Jayant Chaudhary on Friday demanded suspension of DM and SP of Hapur, three days after police allegedly lathi-charged legal professionals who had been protesting towards a police case lodged towards a fellow lawyer. The police had resorted to cane-charge that left half a dozen advocates injured.
“The act of lathi-charge on legal professionals was utterly undemocratic and shameful,” Chaudhary stated in a press release. Stating that his get together was absolutely in help of legal professionals, Chaudhary demanded motion towards the cops who had been concerned within the incident.
As a matter of reality, CM Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday ordered the structure of a three-member inquiry committee underneath the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Meerut to research all elements of the incident associated to the lathi cost on legal professionals within the west UP district. The committee will submit its report inside every week.
In the meantime, legal professionals throughout the state continued with their strike in protest towards the Hapur incident, killing of a lawyer in Ghaziabad and a legal pointing a gun at an advocate in a Farrukhabad courtroom.
