1 dead, 20 pilgrims injured in bus accident on highway in UP’s Auraiya


KANPUR: A girl passenger was killed whereas 20 others suffered accidents when a non-public bus carrying 60 pilgrims from Khaga city of Fatehpur district to Vrindavan Dham Mathura, overturned on the freeway close to Janetpur village of Auraiya district on Tuesday.
The injured individuals have been admitted to a district hospital.
Upon receiving details about the accident, senior law enforcement officials, together with the circle officer (CO) and the SDM, reached the scene and supervised the rescue operation.
In response to the passengers on the bus, the personal journey bus had departed for Mathura and Vrindavan from Khaga in Fatehpur district at 10pm on Monday, carrying 60 passengers.
“Round 4am on Tuesday, when the bus reached in entrance of Janetpur village in Auraiya district, the driving force misplaced management, and the bus overturned on the street. Shakuntala (50), the spouse of Kripal Singh and a resident of Misa, police station Thariyaon Fatehpur, who was touring on the bus, died on the spot,” they stated, including, “Concurrently, 20 different passengers have been severely injured.”
Upon receiving details about the accident, the Kotwali police arrived on the scene and initiated a rescue operation to extricate the trapped people from the bus. The bus was subsequently faraway from the street with the help of a crane.
CO Mahendra Pratap Singh and SDM Akhilesh Kumar visited the hospital to inquire concerning the well-being of the injured people who have been being attended to by the medical doctors.
The CO stated, “The physique of the deceased lady has been dispatched for postmortem, whereas the injured are present process remedy on the district hospital. The accident appears to have been attributable to the driving force apparently dozing off.”
