Samajwadi Party known for backing rapists, criminals: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath | Lucknow News
AYODHYA/LUCKNOW: Attacking the Samajwadi Party during his visit to Ayodhya, chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday said that the SP is known for standing behind rapists and criminals.
Speaking on the West Bengal rape case, Yogi alleged that SP functionaries were issuing statements in favour of the accused instead of supporting the victim.
He was in Ayodhya’s Kumarganj where he distributed appointment letters and tablets to hundreds of youths and students on Sunday.
The CM said that the Samajwadi Party’s goal is to “prove every criminal and offender innocent, but the men in uniform will address such characters and criminals as per the rule of law”.
Yogi warned if anyone in Uttar Pradesh commits heinous crime against women or society, their entire property will be seized for the purpose of providing houses to the economically backw, ard families.
Attacking SP leaders and party president Akhilesh Yadav, the chief minister said, “I have gone through some statements and realised how audacious SP leaders are. They are supporting the accused in the West Bengal rape case. You all have seen the atrocity which SP workers and organisation members have committed in the past.”
‘Govt dedicated to fulfilling needs of poor and women’
“In Ayodhya, a young girl from an extremely backward community was targeted by an SP member. Similarly, in Kannauj too, their neta is accused of raping a woman. Akhilesh Yadav is openly supporting the youth who was accused of molesting a woman in Gomtinagar area of Lucknow some days back,” the CM added.
Day after interacting with the youths of Ambedkar Nagar, CM Yogi participated in the mega employment fair organised as part of the Youth Conclave in Ayodhya’s Kumarganj as the chief guest.
On Saturday, a similar program was organised in the neighbouring Ambedkar Nagar. Responding to the aspirations of the youth, the Yogi government has expedited the process of providing job and employment opportunities to the youths across the state along with opening better avenues for them to develop skill set and gain knowledge that would make them employable in the industry.
During his address, CM Yogi emphasised on the importance of building a strong future for the youths. He said that the double-engine government is dedicated to fulfilling the needs of the poor, farmers, youths and women.
The CM also inaugurated various development projects worth about Rs 30 crore and laid the foundation stones for projects worth about Rs 48 crore.
Referring to the changed perception of the state, CM Yogi highlighted that UP has become a model of security and public order as well as a preferred destination for investments.
Through various schemes and programs, the state government has succeeded in providing government jobs to 6.5 lakh youths.
Announcing the Chief Minister’s Youth Entrepreneur Scheme, which aims to set up 10 lakh MSME units and provide interest-free loans of up to Rs 5 lakh to youths, Yogi said that the government has established Abhyudaya coaching facilities in every district to help the students clear competitive exams.
