BSP’s Muslim picks pose 2022-like risk for INDIA bloc in west UP | Lucknow Information

LUCKNOW: Bahujan Samaj Social gathering has introduced candidates for all eight seats of first section, 5 for the second section, two for the third and one for the fourth section.
One of many primary causes for SP to forge an alliance with Congress was to consolidate the Muslim votes in its favour. “Nevertheless, if a Muslim candidate from BSP is in a position to remove a fraction of group vote, it’s going to dent the probabilities of INDIA bloc candidates in west UP because it occurred on a number of seats in 2022 meeting polls,” says a political analyst.
It has fielded Majid Ali from Saharanpur, dropping its winner Haji Fazlur Rahman and Vijyendra Singh from Bijnor, ignoring Malook Nagar who had received the seat for BSP in 2019.
Equally, Mozahid Hussain has been fielded from Amroha because the social gathering sacked its MP Kunwar Danish Ali, who’s now a Congress candidate from the identical seat.
Amongst different candidates, Shripal Singh has been fielded from Kairana, Dara Singh Prajapati from Muzaffarnagar, and Mohammad Irfan Saifi from Moradabad.
From Rampur, it has given tickets to Zishan Khan, Shaukat Ali from Sambhal, Devvrat Tyagi from Meerut and Praveen Bansal from Baghpat. Rajendra Singh Solanki from Gautam Budh Nagar, Abid Ali from Aonla, Anis Ahmad Khan alias Phool Babu from Pilibhit and Dodaram Verma from Shahjahanpur (SC) full BSP’s first checklist.
Later Sunday night, the social gathering launched its second checklist with 9 extra names. It included Sarika Singh Baghel, who had turn out to be the youngest girl MP in 2009 Lok Sabha elections, which she contested from Hathras on RLD’s ticket, from Etawah reserved seat.
She has been related to each SP and BJP. The opposite girl candidate, Puja Amrohi, is the daughter of distinguished Congress chief Satya Behan, who was a Rajya Sabha member from UP. She has been fielded from Agra.
