Russia boosts navy firepower to counter Ukrainian drone assaults




NEW DELHI: Russia on Sunday ordered elevated firepower and coaching for its navy to fight Ukrainian drones attacking “from the air and by uncrewed boats”
“There have to be coaching for personnel daily. Coaching on how one can repel assaults from the air and by uncrewed boats,” defence minister Sergei Shoigu mentioned.
Shoigu has “ordered the set up of extra firepower, large-calibre machine gun programs to defeat enemy drones,” the official assertion mentioned.
The Black Sea, a key battleground, has witnessed a number of Ukrainian strikes, resulting in the relocation of Russian navy vessels. Ukraine claimed to have destroyed over two dozen Russian ships, showcasing its navy achievements within the area.
