With its Native Retailers initiative, Amazon will provide its clients the choice to browse and purchase merchandise from a spread of choices from India’s conventional markets on its platform.

Brick-and-mortar shops of Mumbai’s Zaveri Bazaar; Delhi’s Chandni Chowk, Sadar Bazaar, Lajpat Nagar, and Karol Bagh; Kolhapur’s Mahadwar Street, and Gujarat’s vibrant markets could have their digital shops on Amazon’s e-commerce platform.

Commenting on the initiative, Abhishek Jain, head of native retailers at Amazon India in an announcement mentioned, “We’re excited to witness the widespread enlargement of the Native Retailers on Amazon programme nationwide. Over the previous two years, the initiative has efficiently introduced on board greater than three lakh brick-and-mortar retailers, native offline shops, and neighbourhood retailers throughout 344 cities throughout India.”

“These companies have seamlessly transitioned into on-line promoting on Amazon.in, reaping the advantages of the digital market,” he added.

By means of the Native Retailers initiative, Amazon India goals to transition a million native offline retailers and neighbourhood shops to on-line platforms by 2025.
