2 arrested for smuggling FICN from Bangladesh | Lucknow Information




LUCKNOW: A staff of the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has arrested two folks for smuggling pretend Indian forex price Rs 97,500 from Bangladesh through West Bengal to Uttar Pradesh. The arrested folks have been recognized as Chandan Sainik and Deepak Kumar, each natives of Pratapgarh district. They have been arrested from Varanasi based mostly on data supplied by an informant.
“The duo confessed to bringing the notes from Bangladesh and circulating them in UP and Delhi.The notes seized from their possession have been of Rs 500 denomination,” stated Further director common of police, ATS, Mohit Agarwal.
Agarwal added that the accused Deepak Kumar has beforehand been despatched to jail by Pratapgarh police in a case of ganja smuggling, and the opposite accused, Chandan Sainik, has been jailed twice for ganja smuggling and car theft.
ATS recovered six smartphones, pretend forex and air tickets from West Bengal.
