‘America, Britain can pay a heavy worth’: Houthi warns after UK, US airstrikes on Yemen
Heavy US and British air strikes pounded targets in Yemen early on Friday after weeks of disruptive assaults on Pink Sea transport by Iran-backed Houthi forces.
The strikes focused an airbase, airports and a army camp, the Huthi rebels’ Al-Masirah TV station stated, with AFP correspondents and witnesses additionally reporting listening to bombardments.
“Our nation was subjected to an enormous aggressive assault by American and British ships, submarines and warplanes,” Houthi Deputy International Minister Hussein Al-Ezzi stated, in accordance with official insurgent media.
“America and Britain must put together to pay a heavy worth and bear all of the dire penalties of this blatant aggression,” he added.
