Tiger on the prowl triggers panic in Kerala’s Wayanad district


Panic has gripped the Arivayal and Cee Cee areas close to Vakery below the Chethalayath forest vary within the South Wayanad Forest Division in Wayanad district of Kerala after a goat and a cow have been killed in 5 days by what’s believed to be a tiger on the prowl.

The male tiger has been recognized as WYS 09 of the South Wayanad forest division, as per the Forest division’s database.

“Now we have intensified steps to seize the tiger,” says Chethalayath forest vary officer Abdul Samad.

Cages arrange

“Now we have arrange two cages to seize the animal and have put in 18 surveillance cameras within the space to observe the actions of the tiger,” mentioned Mr. Samad.
