India selected to bat vs Australia
India gained the toss and selected to bat within the first of the three ODIs in opposition to Australia, on the Wankhede on Thursday.
Left-arm spinner Saika Ishaque made her ODI debut for India after getting her first T20I cap in opposition to England earlier this month. The notable absentee from India’s XI although is vice-captain and opener Smriti Mandhana, who was unwell and unavailable for choice. Yastika Bhatia opened in her place together with with Shafali Verma.For Australia, quick bowler Darcie Brown returned from the damage she had sustained throughout the sequence in opposition to West Indies at residence in October. Georgia Wareham, Ashleigh Gardner and Alana King had been the spinners for the guests.
