A Lucknow man has misplaced ₹1,18,400 in a work-from-home job rip-off, police stated. The fraudsters had approached him by promising to pay him ₹700-800 daily for writing critiques and giving rankings to accommodations on Google Maps, they added.

Whereas he was paid for preliminary duties, and was promised ₹700 to 800 for finishing 10-12 duties daily, the fraudsters later requested him to ship them an quantity by means of UPI for higher returns.

Shukla ended up depositing a complete of ₹1,18,000 to the fraudsters’ account earlier than realising that he was being taken for a journey, Para police stated in a press word.
