“Investigation revealed that Murad Alam had acquired the FICN consignment from Tausif Alam and had carried it for supply to Shahnawaj Ansari. The consignment was provided to Tausif Alam by the accused Sariful Islam, who had contacts in Bangladesh from the place he used to acquire the pretend forex,” the NIA stated.
Additional investigations had established that every one the accused individuals had been members of the FICN Provide community and the pretend forex was purportedly smuggled from throughout the border.
The accused had conspired to smuggle, promote and procure the FICN, and had saved it of their possession earlier than additional circulating and supplying it to individuals/consignees in several components of the nation, together with Murad Alam, a resident of Ghaziabad and Shahnawaj Ansari, hailing from Purnea, Bihar, within the on the spot case.
