ALIGARH: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested 4 officers from the CGST (Items and Companies Tax) workplace in Aligarh, on prices of bribery amounting to Rs 25,000.
The arrested officers embrace two superintendents, an inspector, and a tax assistant from the GST & Central Excise Division in Aligarh.
The case originated from a grievance filed towards two CGST officers in Aligarh. The complainant, an LIC agent, alleged that regardless of by no means having a agency registered in his title with GST, he had been persistently receiving notices from the CGST Division since 2021, demanding a sum of Rs 1.70 lakh.
