A Mumbai-bound Akasa Air flight was delayed by over 5 hours on Sunday after the airline acquired a safety alert in the course of the boarding course of in Varanasi, the airline mentioned.
Following the alert, the passengers have been deplaned and native authorities carried out the required safety checks, Akasa Air mentioned in a tweet on Sunday night time.
“Akasa Air Varanasi flight QP 1497, scheduled to fly from Varanasi to Mumbai at 14:50 pm on October 1, acquired a safety alert in the course of the boarding course of,” it mentioned.
