MEERUT: A 16-year-old boy was allegedly strangled to loss of life on Friday after he requested his good friend to return Rs 30 he’d lent him a couple of days earlier.
Ritik Kumar, a Class 11 scholar and resident of Baghpat, had requested the accused (whose identification has not been disclosed as he’s a minor) to return the cash, upon which a verbal spat ensued.
The incident occurred on a busy road in Rajpur Khampur village underneath the jurisdiction of Baraut police station when the accused, alongside along with his uncle and two others, initially thrashed him. In response to bystanders, the accused fled the scene.
“We have been having dinner when Ritik left the home and went to the store of his good friend’s uncle. By the point we heard in regards to the scenario, issues had turned ugly. They grabbed Kumar’s neck, and allegedly killed him,” mentioned Ritik’s uncle Ghanshyam.
Baraut SHO Devesh Kumar instructed TOI, “Though no seen accidents have been seen on his physique, post-mortem experiences affirm strangulation as explanation for loss of life. An FIR underneath IPC part 302 (homicide) was lodged towards the accused following a criticism by the sufferer’s household.”
Of the 4 accused, the minor was detained and two arrested. One individual stays to be recognized, he added.
