UP ATS arrests man for spying for ISI in Lucknow | Lucknow Information
LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) on Tuesday arrested a person, in Lucknow, for allegedly spying for the Pakistan-based Inter-Providers Intelligence (ISI) and passing on very important data to the handlers throughout the border.
The ATS mentioned that Shailesh Kumar aka Shailendra Singh Chauhan was a local of Kasganj.
Particular DG, regulation and order, Prashant Kumar mentioned that the accused was working as a porter on contractual foundation in Arunachal Pradesh military quarters.
Throughout the probe it surfaced that the accused met one Harleen Kaur over social media who’s an ISI agent and later they started chatting on messenger.
“Harleen launched the accused to a different ISI handler Preeti. Preeti disclosed to Shailesh that she was an ISI agent and if he supported, he would get good-looking cash,” mentioned the ATS.
“Shailesh was requested to share images of motion of the Indian military which he did and bought Rs 2,000 per photograph,” mentioned the ATS.
Shailesh has posted a profile on social media donning a military uniform, therefore he was approached by the ISI spies, mentioned a senior officer.
Further DG, ATS, Mohit Agarwal mentioned that the cell phone of the accused has been seized and despatched for forensic evaluation, whereas a probe was beneath manner and the accused shall be taken in remand for additional questioning.
