UP dupatta demise accused shot, harm in escape try | Lucknow Information




LUCKNOW: Two males, Shahwaz and Arbaaz, arrested on Saturday on fees of sexual harassment and the homicide of a 17-year-old schoolgirl in Uttar Pradesh’s Ambedkar Nagar, have been shot and injured whereas making an attempt to flee custody late on Sunday, the police stated.
Police claimed that they had snatched the rifle of a policeman. On Friday, the 2 had allegedly pulled the dupatta of the woman whereas she was driving her bicycle dwelling from college. She misplaced her steadiness, fell, and was run over by a two-wheeler behind. The woman died on the spot.
Locals have now come ahead to say that the accused had been focusing on a number of different women within the space for years.
5 cops, who have been deployed with the “anti-Romeo squad” – tasked to verify such incidents – have been shunted for laxity.
Locals say that the accused and their aide used to take a seat at a tea store close to the college. “The accused youths are brothers and had a small workshop of two-wheelers. They used to stalk women day by day and move feedback. No one dared problem them or increase a voice towards them,” stated the sufferer’s father. “She was the brightest of all my 4 kids and was a highschool topper. She used to do all family chores, take tuitions after which used to go to high school,” he stated.
Ambedkar Nagar SP Ajit Sinha stated an investigation is being carried out.
