MAHARAJGANJ: A forty five-year-old lady was mauled to dying by a leopard within the Sohagi Barwa Wildlife Sanctuary in Uttar Pradesh’s Maharajganj on Sunday, officers stated.
The sufferer has been recognized as Sharda Rajbhar (45), a resident of Semarhwa village within the Nautanwa Police Station space, they stated.
RP Singh, a forest ranger, confirmed {that a} leopard has killed the lady and urged villagers to be on alert, given the motion of untamed animals within the space.
On Sunday morning, the lady had gone to work within the fields on the sting of the forest close to Semarhwa village when the leopard attacked her and grabbed her by the neck, the official stated.
Her relations shouted for assist, and later chased away the leopard with the assistance of some neighbours. Nevertheless, the lady succumbed to the accidents attributable to the assault.
The official stated the physique has been despatched for autopsy examination and additional motion shall be taken after the report is filed.
