Delhi Homicide Information: Janakpuri girl, daughter killed by kin over property | Agra Information




AGRA: A 55-year-old girl and her adopted daughter, 22, each residents of Janakpuri in Delhi, had been allegedly overwhelmed to dying by her in-laws over a property dispute in Aligarh district, barely per week after her husband’s dying.
The double homicide happened at Kaimthal below the district’s Gonda police limits on Monday when Mukesh Devi was attending her husband’s ‘terahvin’ (ritual carried out on the thirteenth day of the mourning interval) together with daughter Priyanka at her in-laws’ place. Mukesh Devi’s husband, Surender Singh, had died of a coronary heart assault in Delhi on August 31.
On the ritual, Mukesh Devi was attacked by her brother-in-law and others with a stick and heavy objects.

An FIR has been registered towards seven accused — Dharmveer Singh, Mona Singh, Dubla Singh, Ramesh Singh, Neeraj Singh, Sonu Singh and Rakesh Singh — below IPC sections 302 (homicide) and 147 (rioting) following a criticism by the girl’s brother Bhola Singh. SP (Aligarh rural) Palash Bansal stated on Tuesday, “5 police groups have been shaped to arrest the accused. We’re investigating the matter and motion will likely be taken quickly.”
Mukesh Devi’s nephew Bablu added, “My aunt married Surender Singh of Kaimthal almost 30 years in the past. They later settled in Delhi. On Monday, as we visited the home for the terahvin, there was a heated argument between my aunt and her brother-in-law over property. It quickly turned ugly and the latter attacked her.”
Locals stated Mukesh Devi, who initially belonged to neighbouring Harji Garhi village below Tappal police limits, had no kids and determined to undertake her niece about 20 years in the past. “She was murdered for 3 bighas of land because the accused did not need the property to go to her adopted youngster. Her daughter was working at a personal agency in Delhi,” a neighbour stated.
