Truck drags Noida couple, children in automotive for over 2km on Agra-Gwalior freeway | Agra Information




AGRA: A rushing truck hit a transferring automotive – with a Noida-based couple and their two kids inside – from behind and dragged it for over 2km on the busy Agra-Gwalior freeway, injuring the person and his spouse.
After the collision, the truck driver did not cease even when passersby pelted it with stones.
Finally, native police needed to barricade the freeway to intercept the heavy automobile. CCTV cameras on the NH-3 captured the terrifying episode. A grievance was filed towards the truck driver at Saiyan police station on Friday and the accused was arrested.
ACP, Piyoosh Kant Rai, stated, “The CCTV footage exhibits how the truck driver intentionally posed a hazard to the lives of the household within the automotive. He has been booked beneath IPC sections 307 (try to homicide) and 427 (mischief inflicting injury).” SI Amar Rana added, “The motive force was drunk. A girl was critically injured and brought to hospital. The container truck has been seized.”
Native residents stated police responded swiftly. “A barricade was laid throughout the freeway and it was blocked for visitors. However the truck driver was in no temper to cease the automobile,” one among them stated.
