France to ban carrying of abayas by Muslim girls in faculties: Training minister Gabriel Attal
French schooling minister Gabriel Attal stated on Sunday that the authorities will ban the carrying of abaya attire by Muslim girls in faculties, in line with a report by AFP.
He argued that the garment violates France’s strict secular legal guidelines in schooling.
“It can not be attainable to put on an abaya in school,” Training Minister Gabriel Attal advised TF1 tv, as per the report.
The event comes after months of debate over the carrying of abayas in French faculties, the place girls have lengthy been banned from carrying the Islamic scarf.
