Man in UP’s Bijnor fakes ‘dying by leopard’ to flee home strife | Meerut Information




BIJNOR: A 25-year-old man in UP’s Bijnor district, suspected of being taken away by a leopard earlier this month, was discovered hale and hearty in Chandigarh. Police on Saturday stated Lalit Kumar, who married lately, had “faked his dying to flee home strife”, until his cell SIM gave away his location. On August 17, Kumar went lacking from a forest, infested by leopards, close to the district’s Begumpur Shadi village. Later, solely his motorbike, cell phone and footwear have been discovered, about 2km away from the village. There have been two SIMs within the cell, and one was lacking, locals stated, including that it raised suspicion.
In response to locals, Kumar left for the farms, and vanished. A joint crew of native police and forest division had carried out combing operations for days with out success. His household subsequently filed a lacking criticism at Kotwali Dehat police station.
SHO of Kotwali Dehat, Jaiveer Singh, stated, “Lalit Kumar had a spat along with his household. He left residence and made his disappearance appear to be a leopard assault. He took one SIM from his cell and went to Chandigarh the place his mates work in a manufacturing unit. He was staying there.”
The SHO added: “Lalit was traced when he put his SIM card in his buddy’s cell. Police introduced him again to Bijnor on Friday and handed him over to his household.”
