KAUSHAMBI: A 17-year-old lady was allegedly hacked to dying with an axe by her father and two brothers in Uttar Pradesh’s Kaushambi on Saturday, police stated.
The incident occurred in Muzaffarpur Tikri village.
The sufferer, recognized as Preeti, had been partaking in frequent telephone conversations with a younger man from her village. Regardless of her household’s objections to this communication, Preeti continued to speak to him, they added.
The scenario escalated when Preeti refused to conform together with her household’s calls for to stop contact with the younger man. Allegedly pushed by anger, her father, Manrakhan Singh, alongside together with her two brothers, Radheshyam Singh and Ghanshyam Singh, reportedly resorted to a horrifying act, utilizing an axe to finish Preeti’s life on the fateful Saturday.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Brijesh Kumar Srivastava stated the three accused had been detained and have confessed to committing the crime.
Strict authorized motion could be taken within the matter, the SP stated, including that the physique had been despatched for postmortem.
